We are now in the final stages of being able to offer our patients a one stop clinic for carpal tunnel syndrome. Most likely to be on a Wednesday afternoon at the Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, patients will be assessed and hopefully given a diagnosis, advice and a surgery date if required.
On the day the patient will have an initial consultation with Mr Mike Hayton, the Hand Surgeon. They will then be seen by Rachel Delaney, Hand therapist who will discuss prevention and post operative rehabilitation. Nerve Conduction studies if required will be performed by Dr Andy Marshall, Consultant Neurophysiologist. A summarising consultation with Mike will outline a management plan and include a convenient operative date if required.
