Xiapex injections going well

Xiapex injections have recently been licensed for the treatment of Dupuytrens disease. Since its approval last week Mike Hayton has injected two patients with Xiapex in Manchester, North West England. The injections went really well and we will wait the long term results with interest.

The Xiapex injection is performed on day 1 in the outpatient department. The following day the finger is manipulated straight under local anaesthetic, again in the outpatients department. The hand is then allowed to move immediately and a splint is worn at night for the first 4 months.
