Mr Mike Hayton
FRCS (Trauma and Orth) FFSEM (UK)
Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon
The hand and wrist are very complex parts of the body and as a result a wide variety of problems can occur. We have attempted to describe in some detail the more common hand and wrist problems that are reported by patients to their family doctors. The information has been written with no medical jargon and continuous feedback from my patients allows this to improve and expand year on year.

Mike is on the Specialist Register as an Orthopaedic Consultant and his clinical practice is exclusively surgery of the Hand and Wrist. In addition he is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Human Bone cell research group at the University of Liverpool and also at the University of Salford.
He consults privately at The OrthTeam Centre (M20 2ZA) and on the private wing at his NHS base Wrightington Hospital.
