Scapho-Lunate ligament research wins best paper award at the BSSH 2012

Our recent review of the results of scapho-lunate ligament reconstructions in the elite athlete won the "Best Paper" award at the recent Bristish Society for Surgery of the Hand Conference 2012.

The paper was read by Ashleigh Williams, a medical student at the University of Manchester, and she deserves full credit for a very professional and confident presentation.

Our headline findings were

80% returned to full sporting action at 4 months post operation

but for other other injuries elsewhere in the body 80% return to playing

VAS for pain was significantly improved with p<0.01
